Wholesome Skillet is the creation of Constance Smith.

Constance has been a food writer for over a decade as a seasoned blogger. She is a regular columnist and feature writer for both digital and print media.

After 25 years of active duty army life, she and her husband planted roots in northern Alabama and started their own farm. It is their dream life, and is aptly named “A Good Life Farm.” You can see Constance’s homesteading life and adventures on her YouTube channel.

Why “Wholesome Skillet”?

One of Constance’s prized possessions is her grandfather’s cast iron skillet.

Her grandfather, was an avid hunter and fisherman. He would cook his camp meals in the very skillet that now rests in the kitchen at her farm. Constance cherishes the history and family ties, and imagines the stories that might have been told around those meals… fishing tales, hunting adventures and memories made to last.
